During the summer months, Larache is a laid-back destination that attracts many domestic tourists. The city is home to the slow-moving River Loukas and the ancient ruins of Lixus, believed to be the location of the legendary Gardens of the Hesperides.
The city’s Spanish heritage is still evident, with tapas bars and Spanish churches scattered throughout.
