Johnny Depp’s trial against Amber Heard captured the slander of people all over the world.
Depp sues Heard for $50m (£40.1m) for suggesting he abused her in 2018 Washington Post Editorial. Although she did not give his name, he claims that her allegations affected his ability to work.
Heard filed a counterclaim accusing Depp of orchestrating a “smear campaign” against her and described his lawsuit as a continuation of “abuse and harassment”.
Depp’s fans are much louder than Heard’s voice. At the time of writing, nearly 4.3 million people have signed the petition to remove hearing aids from Aquaman 2 Celebrities such as Joe Rogan and Laurie Holden have openly expressed their support for him. Chris Rock even joked on stage, “We should believe all women, not just Amber Heard” — causing a major backlash.

Kathy Griffin
Comedian Griffin was one of the first celebrities to come out to support Heard. She commented on the actress’ announcement that she would be taking off social media during the trial, saying, “Oh Dole. I’m thinking of you and sending all the love.”

Howard Stern
While the veteran radio host has not expressed support for Heard specifically, he has spoken out against Depp. Speaking on his SiriusXM show in late April, he said, “He thought, ‘I’m going to show this on TV because I’m so persuasive and I’m so smart, and I’m a cool guy… I’m going to do magic pants from America on trial.'”

Ellen Barkin
In taped trial testimony in 2019, actor Parkin claimed that Depp was “jealous” again tossing a bottle of wine across a hotel room when they were dating in the early 1990s.
The jurors also heard Parkin testify that her ex-husband was “in control” during their short time together, and would ask her about where she was going and what she was doing, telling her “Don’t do this, don’t do that.”
“Just a jealous man, controlling,” she said, remembering he was asking, “Where are you going? Who are you going with? What did you do last night?”

Barkin testified about one time where Depp was allegedly “extremely angry” and accused her of having sex with someone else because she had a slight scratch on her back.
