NEW YORK, NY, May 12, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Bailey House, a leading community organization dedicated to providing housing and supportive services to people living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic diseases, will host the 34th annual Bailey House Gala and Auction from May 11-26 2022. The annual event brings together industry leaders from the art, interior design and architecture communities in New York City as well as prominent figures from business, entertainment, media and fashion to celebrate Billy House and its most passionate allies. The auction, which benefits the Bailey House, features an exclusive collection of more than 250 auction items including original art, home décor, as well as a curated collection of unique lifestyle experiences.
The multi-day fundraising event features online auctions, powered by Artsy and Charitybuzz, that run through May 26. Tickets are now available for the Cocktail Reception and Live Auction, which will take place May 25, 2022 at THE POOL. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of luxury items as well as a variety of eclectic art from a range of famous and emerging artists including E. Jane, Kyle Dunn, Amy Arbus, Catherine Opie, Duane Michaels, Mark Bird, Pacifico Celano and many more. The works are also donated by the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation and the Herb Ritz Foundation. Prior to the live auction, participants including the general public can browse the lots and bid before the live bidding begins.
During the ceremony, Billy House will host a special presentation honoring the Tony® Award – winning actor/singer Brian Stokes Mitchell and actor/philanthropist Alison Tucker Mitchell for their pioneering work in social justice activism. The design associations ASID (American Society of Interior Designers), IDS (Association of Interior Design), and IFDA (International Association of Furniture and Design) will also be honored for their unwavering and enduring commitment to Bailey House.
