Cannes Film Festival 2022: Best Dressed Celebrities

The 75th annual event kicks off in Cannes, Franceand as usual big success Attendees showed off some off-show red carpet glamor.

In terms of fashion, the festival is one of the most awaited events of the year.

The A-list stars travel from Hollywood to attend, wearing their best dresses and suits, which are often tailored to them, haute couture, or taken straight from the runway.

This year, the festival started on Tuesday 17 May at the Palais des Festivals and ends on Saturday 28 May.

A slew of upcoming movie premieres are planned for the 12-day festival, including Top Gun: Maverick, starring Tom Cruise, which took place on May 18 and saw the actor return to the festival for the first time in 30 years.

The event was canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was moved forward in 2021, delayed and subject to limitations – but this year it is back in full, familiar glory again.

The festival always attracts some of the most famous faces in the world, including actors and models.

Here are some of the best costumes we’ve seen at Cannes so far.

Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stunned in a sexy floral dress when she attended the screening of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ on Wednesday, May 18. Dolce and Gabbana’s dress featured a waterfall of three-dimensional flowers on the skirt, as well as on the arm.

Hollywood actor Tom Cruise walked into his first Cannes Film Festival in three decades for the world premiere of Top Gun: Maverick — which arrived in a Navy helicopter.

He wore an elegant navy blue suit worn over a white shirt with a tie, and also wore aviator glasses that became popular around the world after the release of the first Top Gun movie in 1986.

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone stayed true to her heritage with this sparkling Sabyasachi saree when she attended the opening gala dinner.

Singer and TV personality Rochelle Humes dazzled in an elegant black floor-length dress when she attended the screening of Top Gun: Maverick. The bold, sheer dress featured a chic bodice and a jewel-encrusted bra.

Model Adriana Lima, who is pregnant with her third child, made sure her baby was the center of attention when she attended Chopard’s “Gentleman’s Evening”. She was wearing a black Balmain dress that wrapped around her growing belly.

Katherine Langford also attended the Top Gun: Maverick show, and wore a gorgeous fuchsia outfit from the Fall-Winter 2022 Valentino collection. The ensemble consisted of a figure-hugging pink jumpsuit, worn under a floor-length jacket and a matching pink bra.

Model Josephine Skriver, known for her work with Victoria’s Secret, wore a monochromatic Tony Couture dress to the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick.

Professional mixed martial artist Conor McGregor and fiancée Dee Devlin complimented each other in their purple outfits when they attended Chopard’s “Gentleman’s Evening”.

Actress Elle Fanning, best known for playing Aurora in Disney’s Maleficent, looked as beautiful as the princess in a nude pink fishtail gown by Armani Privé at the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick.

Leonnie Hanne praised the attention to creating bright pink ruffled layers by Nicole + Felicia at the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick.

Supermodel Amandine Petty dazzled while attending the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick in a sheer green dress designed by Rami Al Ali.

Singer-songwriter Talia Storm, formerly of The X Factor, walked the red carpet in a rainbow-hued Yanina Couture dress when she attended the Final Cut (Coupez!) show.

Actress Eva Longoria wore this stunning, floor-length, silver ombre Christina Ottaviano dress to the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick.

Princess Diana’s nieces, Lady Elisa and Lady Amelia Spencer, appeared elegantly in two black packages at Chopard’s “Gentleman’s Evening”. Lady Elisa wore a black dress with a sweetheart neckline while her twins opted for a one-shoulder dress with chiffon details.
