Celebrities highlight Leni-Kiko tandem

MANILA – For the last time, celebrities have turned the spotlight on Leni Robredo and Keiko Pangilinan, with their first gauntlet appearance in Makati’s business district.

Three “Darnas” Angel Locsin, Iza Calzado and Jane de Leon took to the stage to show support for the tandem.

Magdangal and Eric Santos led the audience in prayer, while Benoy Dream Academy winner Ying Constantinou led the singing of the national anthem.

Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano opened the program by saying that he was a voter for the first time, and then sang his hit song “Hataw Na”. Gap Valenciano joined his father in chanting: “Ang Chief, Lenny Robredo. Peace President, Kiko Pangilinan” and was followed by Darren Espanto’s performance with G-Force and the musical crew, “Ang Hulling El Bimbo.”

OPM singer Moira dela Torre performed her original song “Ipanalo Natin’ To” inspired by Leni Robredo’s logo. This was followed by Angel Locsin taking the opportunity to thank all the volunteers and individuals who had dedicated their time to contribute to the Robredo and Pangilinan campaign.

Megastar Sharon Koneta sang the audience with her song “Pangarap na Bituin” while introducing her husband, Pangilinan. Rivermaya finished ‘Liwanag Sa Dilim’ with a full slate on stage.

Also in attendance were Sexbomb star Rochelle Pangilinan, Andrea Brillants, Janine Gutierrez, and Janella Salvador.
