Celebrities gathered to pay tribute to the UK’s entry to Eurovision, Sam Ryder, who came in second on Saturday night with his Space Man track.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson took to his Twitter to congratulate Ukraine on its victory and took some time to applaud the UK’s entry.
He wrote: “Congratulations to Ukraine on its victory in Tweet embed Song Contest 2022.
“It is a clear reflection not only of your talent, but of the unwavering support of your struggle for freedom. Incredibly proud Tweet embed And how brilliantly like the UK tonight.”
DJ Scott Mills has also continued to support Sam after he was proposed to represent the UK at the Folk Song Contest.

He wrote on his Instagram story: “To the people who said we can’t win / We’ll always come last, I hope we change this narrative. I’m so bored with chatting people who will never vote for us because of politics / Brexit etc. that.
“Send a good song and acting, a lot of votes really.. be proud that we finished second tonight.” Followed by a red heart of love.
TV favorite Rylan Clark also took to Twitter to share his praise of Sam, writing: “#teamSPACEMAN did it. So proud.”

British Eurovision commentator Graham Norton wrote: “What a solid performance. You can’t ask for much more than that. There is a sea of union flags.”
It wasn’t just celebrities sharing their support for the singer, who was representing the UK in the Eurovision 2022 grand final, as he was praised on social media for his “amazing” and “emotional” performance on his space track. man.
In fact, it seemed to many viewers that it did better than they expected given previous UK entries – especially since last year’s performance by James Newman received no points at all.
One fan wrote: “Honestly this is a good song! Decent # Eurovision National anthem.”
Another tweeted: “Sam Ryder is much better than I expected.”
One wrote, “Sam Ryder might be one of the best voices we’ve ever had to cast.” “Angelic voice.”
Sam could be seen smiling halfway to the vote, the UK still had a lead of 195, but after all votes had been cast, it was Ukraine’s Kalush Orchestra that took first prize.
Space Man’s entry into the UK was a hit across Europe and was well received at the Turin circuit.

Television critic Scott Bryan noted: “This is the first time Europe has cheered the UK for so long.”
Sam has already amassed an incredible amount of support online, as well as some big names, including Australian pop star Sia, Justin Bieber and Alicia Keys.
