From JK Rowling to Penelope Cruz, here are the celebrities in TEAM JOHNNY DEPP

The ongoing Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard defamation trial has divided people into two teams, Team Johnny and Team Amber. In addition to the fans, some famous friends of the ex-couple have also used their big social media following to reveal which side they are on.

Some members of Johnny’s team have shown support since 2020 when The Sun dubbed the Pirates of the Carribean actor a ‘wife beater’. Below is the list of celebrities who publicly supported Johnny Depp.

1. J.K. Rowling

The “Harry Potter” author addressed Johnny’s legal woes on her website in 2017. Giving her opinion on Depp’s rumored departure from the “Fantastic Beasts” series, Rowling said, “Based on our understanding of the circumstances, the filmmakers and I are just not comfortable with the commitment to our team.” The original, but really happy that Johnny is playing a major role in the movies.” She added, “I loved writing the first and second screenplays and can’t wait for fans to watch The Crimes of Grindelwald. Depp and Cruz have co-starred in “Blow,” “Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides,” and “Murder on the Orient Express.” Cruz announced her support for Depp by saying, “I met Johnny when I was 19.” She continued, “He was in Madrid and he was introduced to me by Pedro Almodovar. The only sentences I knew how to say in English at that time were ‘How are you’ and ‘I want to work with Johnny Depp.'” I went through and not only did 3 films with him, but also count on him as a friend Great. During Johnny’s 2020 trial in the UK, Javier Bardem released a statement saying, “I love Johnny. He has always been a gentleman, a very generous friend and caring for my family and myself.” He added that Johnny has always shown a “respectful attitude towards every member of the crew along with a unique sense of humor and fun.” Javier added, “I stand by Johnny because I have always seen and felt a real man that he cared about and loved… an extraordinary and unique artist who listened to anyone who needed his help.” He concluded by saying that Johnny is “a good human being, caught up in the lies and manipulations of venomous beings, and yet he smiles and loves us all in spite of that.”

4. Sia

Songstress Sia has also publicly supported Depp in a now-deleted tweet. She said, “Just show my public support for Johnny Depp. I mean, I’d love for him to clean up and stop jewelry, but he’s clearly the victim after hearing those tapes.”

5. Joe Rogan

Joe Rogan has been very vocal in showing his support for Depp. On the April episode of his podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience,” he said, “You see all the craziness coming out. Doug Stanhope knows her. Stanhope mates with Johnny Depp. He wrote something, like an article about how she is, and she threatened to sue him, and I think he’s Had to finish it off by removing it. I wish I wasn’t a king like this. But he knows her very well… “She just got out of her king’s mind, ‘Like a crazy actress… that’s true.’” He ended by saying, “There is something wrong with her. There is something wrong with her. .There is some kind of mental problem.”

6. Candice Owens

Owens called Amber Heard a “liar from day one,” and said, “It was absolutely ridiculous to see what that woman was allowed to do because she flew under the radar of the Me Too movement.” She added: “There was more than enough evidence to convict her from the start for being a deeply abusive partner. [Amber] Every little bit is an example of what I like to refer to when I refer to toxic feminism.”

7. Jason Momoa

Although Jason was Heard’s partner in Aquaman, he is known for supporting Johnny Depp. Depp’s fans claimed that Momoa followed the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star on Instagram after the Johnny vs Amber legal battle began.

8. Winona Ryder

Former Winona told Johnny, “I am aware of the allegations of violence that have been made public over the past few years by Johnny Depp’s ex-wife Amber Heard. The idea that he is an incredibly violent person is the furthest thing from Johnny that I have known and loved. I can’t turn my head. About these accusations. He was never violent towards me. He was never abusive at all. He was never violent or abusive towards anyone I saw.” She ended by saying, “I really and honestly only know him as a really good guy – a very loving, very caring guy who was very protective of me and the people he loved, and I felt very, very safe with him.”
