In a video critiquing various interior decorating trends, interior designer Reeves Connelly revealed what different aesthetics might say about her fans.
If you’re a fan of the simplicity that minimalism offers with a monochromatic color palette and minimalist furnishings, Connelly said you’d opt for the safer option.
“It might be a bit exaggerated,” he noted, “but it’s still good.”
For fans of the contrasting bohemian aesthetic, Connelly wondered if you’re keen on it because it’s really good, or you’re simply a “really raunchy.”
When it comes to the trend of selective extremes, he simply asserts: “Well, we get it, you like this!”

Featuring exposed light bulbs, graphic lines, and repurposed materials, Connelly acknowledged that industrial décor isn’t for everyone.
But for those who embrace this style, Connelly said they are “completely comfortable” with the fact that not everyone is fond of the style.
For lovers of art deco, the interior design expert considered them a “classic”.
And for fans of the Tuscan style, Connelly called them “old people”, as the people in traditional decor got the nickname “really old.”
“Your Social Security number is two,” said the critic of those who love elegant accents and carved wood that include neoclassical style.
“You are a discerning lover,” he said of the decorators at the Bauhaus.
When it comes to the subject of the beach, Connelly considered appreciatives of this coastal aesthetic fit for prison. “Officer, this is right here,” he said sarcastically.
“You are amazing, I admire you,” the interior designer said of Mediterranean lovers.
“Impossible, you already know that? Can we be friends?” He said of the rarest organic modern aesthetic.
For fans of the luxurious furnishings and fur accessories that glamorous decor offers, Connelly said it’s “just a phase” and they’ll ditch when they get older.
By contrast, for eclectic Memphis fans, he said, “You’ll never get old.”
“Oh, I chose this to be different, what a cleverness,” Connelly sarcastically dismissed the basic hut-lovers altogether.

“If you pick this up, you’re a liar,” he said of farmhouse style. “It’s not anyone’s favorite.”
And for the grand finale, referring to mid-century décor with its clean lines, muted tones, graphic shapes, and vibrant color, Connelly emphasized, “If you pick this one, you’re right. It’s the best.”
