Ashley donates thousands of dollars in new home furnishings to support tiny homes for the local village of Eden

    Wilmington, North Carolina Ashley announced today that it has partnered with Eden Village to donate more than $30,000 in unused furniture and decor from HGTV® Smart Home 2022, located in Wilmington, North Carolina, to local homes. This donation will provide for the development of Eden Village for a 31-unit small home community for low-income and chronically homeless people, expected to be completed by November 2022. Ashley is the current sponsor of HGTV Smart Home 2022, providing all furniture for the home, available at local Ashley stores and across Internet at Ashley.com.

    Eden Village began housing efforts in 2018 and successfully completed its first small home community in Springfield, Missouri, before expanding the project concept to Wilmington, North Carolina in 2020. Eden Village is a program that provides decent housing and supportive communities to the homeless, the disabled, and low-income people. These communities not only provide opportunities for permanent housing for these individuals, but also provide support services and community interaction events to ensure personal success and healthy living moving forward.

    Eden Village is a 31-unit micro home community that has been specifically designed to provide permanent, lifelong homes to chronically homeless individuals in Wilmington, North Carolina. As of today, there are about 100 chronically homeless residents here locally. Eden Village aims to set realistic and achievable goals to make the greatest long-term impact across our beautiful community of Wilmington. Some residents of Aden village will include patients from a nearby hospital who are battling chronic diseases. Most are treatable if not curable, but require stable living conditions to improve treatment outcomes.
