Benefits of Buying a Custom Coordinated Home

Buyers of custom luxury homes now have more options than waiting up to two years to build their own home. Increasingly, they are choosing to work with licensed architects and builders who can offer a cutting edge custom building experience – a completely unique and curated custom home in less time, at a more realistic price and without many of the pains and frustrations that come with traditional custom building.

Unlike the traditional process, a curated custom home is often move-in ready and designed to appeal to a sophisticated client. This reimagined process of custom home building has recently gained popularity among professional architects and clients, especially over the past couple of years when inventory has been significantly lower and the top priority of new home construction has been to finish them quickly.

Coordinated custom homes are similar to traditional custom buildings in that they display a unique design. But unlike traditional designs that require the participation of clients even in the smallest details and decisions, this responsibility rests with the architect and designer.

I love designing and building custom homes for my clients. The end product is a stunning home completely their own and created by a team of renowned architects and designers. The best part is that the customer does not have to lift a finger unless they want to. All decisions are made by their design team, right down to the silverware. The experience of buying a custom coordinated home is now fun and stress-free.

One of my most recent designs in Ascaya, called Adelaide, is a stunning example of a coordinated modern custom home. When designing the estate, our team of professionals created a unique one-story floor plan that took into account details such as the shape of the site and elevated strip and mountain views that are almost exclusive to Ascaya.

Adelaide is the complete package, with every feature and piece of furniture actually chosen to match the overall design. As a structured custom home, it offers beautiful custom design without the hassle of a long, detailed and expensive building process.

    Decisions Decisions

There is a lot of time that goes into building a home, from the initial research and examination of the home’s location to the endless decisions that come with creating a cohesive and functional design. Even when the initial decisions are made, chances are there will be more decisions and re-evaluations to be made during the build process which generally slows the process down even further.

In contrast, a curated custom home is still fully customizable, but the endless decisions needed to build a unique design are often transferred to a professional with expertise in combining architecture and interior design.

Decisions are taken easily on the client in every aspect. Some architects, like me, can offer a custom home that is structured and completely ready to move in for those who want that comfort, where everything from furnishings to dinner plates is meticulously chosen to create a truly cohesive and unparalleled home experience.

In the coordinated custom home process, the client’s team of professionals is also able to draw on their expertise and make decisions based on items that clients might not notice until it’s too late. Some of these subtleties that the client may not know to take into account include the size and shape of the home’s site, solar orientation, the size of the interior spaces, complementary materials and fixtures, designs that complement the community, and the spread of winds and adjacent home locations.

In some cases, a client who wants to be involved in planning can preview architectural plans and designs before construction begins. Sometimes my company will design several curated custom homes in the same community, often providing our clients with the luxury of choosing from a selection of custom homes in their desired neighborhood.

    Time is valuable

Most of the time, custom curated homes save our clients a lot of time. In the traditional custom home process, many of the decisions required to build a fully custom home often extend the timeline to several years. Deadlines are extended and clients are left feeling as though they are wasting months, or even years, in a rented or unwanted home waiting for their dream home to finally be ready.

When the majority of decisions are handed over to the client’s team of architecture and design professionals, the process is often much faster. Our clients can move into their new homes faster, sometimes in as little as a year.

    The simplest way to finance

One of the most frustrating aspects of building a custom home is arranging financing. There is a long and arduous process of securing the financing needed to build a home that may take several years to complete.

On the contrary, this process is usually much easier when it comes to purchasing a custom coordinated home. The main sites are already secured and the designs are often already completed. In some cases, homes are near completion by the time the customer is ready to buy, making the buying process similar to buying an existing home or reselling it.
