    Weekend picks

    Warwick’s first annual Food Truck Festival

    When: May 21, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    Venue: 2045 Guinea Lane, Jamison, Pennsylvania

    Bring your family and friends for a fun-filled day with food, music, crafts, vendors and more. The region’s best food trucks will be present at Guinea Lane Park while the DJ plays all your favorite songs. This event is free to attend.

    Arts of Warminster and the Parks Festival

    When: Sunday, May 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    Where: Warminster Community Park, 300 Veterans Way, Warminster, PA

    Glanzmann Subaru sponsors the Warminster Arts Festival and Barks Fest on Sundays. Enjoy Bonnie’s Balloon arts, pet vendors, petting zoo, food trucks and more. The event is from 11 am – 3 pm.

    Pride of New Hope Festival

    When: May 20-22
    Where: New Hope, Pennsylvania and Lambertville, New Jersey

    The New Hope Celebrates are hosting one of the first Celebrates of the season in May. This event attracts more than 15,000 people annually and features a large parade with over 600 participants, ranging from Lambertville, NJ and crossing the Delaware River to New Hope, Pennsylvania. The highlight of the parade is the very special New Hope Celebrates 100-foot flag in eight colours.

    This family-friendly event has been supporting pancreatic cancer research and treatment in the local community and has been for the past 7 years. Choose from walking 5 km, jogging or biking 24/42 miles across scenic Bucks County. Sign up for one of these events either onsite or virtually and help support this important cause.

    Earth Day in May

    When: May 21
    Where: Croydon Woods Nature Preserve, 1900 Summit Avenue, Croydon, Pennsylvania

    Join the Heritage Conservancy and local partners from the Lower Bucks to celebrate the community and the land. Enjoy the beauty of spring at Croydon Woods Nature Preserve, along with games, activities, crafts and more. Each schedule will provide an interactive activity for families to participate in along with a “Nature Explorer’s Guide for Kids”. Numerous walks and talks about nature and Earth Day will engage and educate guests on this family-friendly day. Registration is not required, but encouraged.

    Indoor handicraft show on the third Saturday

    When: Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    Where: Quakertown Farmers Market and Flea Market, 201 Station Road, Quakertown, PA

    Visit Quakertown Farmers Market and find local artisans displaying handcrafted items including woodwork, jewelry, artwork, gift baskets, home décor, table décor and more. The vendors change every weekend so there is always something new.

    Cars, cops and coffee

    When: Sunday, May 22, 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
    Where: 234 Durham Road, Newtown, Pennsylvania

    The Newtown City Police Department is pleased to announce a second “Cars, Cops and Coffee” event on Sunday at Veterans Park in Newtown. Bring a classic car, collectible, exotic car or your favorite weekend cruiser and have a cup of coffee with members of the Newtown Township Police Department and other car enthusiasts. All makes and models welcome

    Al Mukaber market

    When: May 21, 1 p.m
    Where: Laurel Hill Cemetery, 3822 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

    Check out a curated selection of unusual antiques, assorted oddities, vintage items, artwork, and handicrafts at this outdoor market. Held in the most convenient setting – an 186-year-old Victorian cemetery – visitors will have the opportunity to explore their obsessive curiosity, as well as the scenic grounds of Laurel Hill and its rich history. Cemetery mini tours begin at 1 pm. There will be live acoustic music, food and drinks. Stroll BYO and enjoy the beautiful scenery. There will be picnic blankets for sale in the gift shop. Entry fee $5 per person, payable in advance or at the door (cash encouraged).
