Celebrities play with color on the BAFTA red carpet

    The weather in London before the BAFTAs may have been gray, but celebrities still experimented with plenty of color on the red carpet.

    Deep shades to pastel hues, this is how the stars worked the color in her outfits on the BAFTA red carpet.

    Salma Hayek heightened her sex appeal in an outfit, in a deep purple velvet dress with a low neckline, a high-calf slit, and architecturally tailored shoulders.

    Lady Gaga (Ian West/Penn.)

    Hayek wasn’t the only one who opted for a checkered color palette — Lady Gaga brought her signature glamor to the red carpet in a dark green and satin velvet dress with a long train, paired with a diamond and emerald necklace and feather bag.

    It’s a classic look, given Gaga’s touch with the addition of extreme platform shoes.

    Rebel Wilson (Ian West/Penn)

    The host of the night, Rebel Wilson, also chose a costume that reveals color in some spotlights.

    She took a more mainstream approach to the red carpet, wearing a layered dress in black tulle and blue sequins by Giambattista Valli – a brand known for its voluminous dresses.

    At first glance, it may seem as if Florence Pugh is wearing a relatively simple black dress by Carolina Herrera, but she delivered a cheerful color with a pink bow on her back.

    She enhanced her glamor with several sparkly chokers, big earrings, and jewelry in her hair.

    Hot pink was the color of the 2021 Baftas, and Simone Ashley shows it’s still going strong this year.

    Ashley, who will be joining the Bridgerton cast for season two, wore a fuchsia outfit straight from the Valentino runway show at Paris Fashion Week earlier this month.
