The pressure to look young, skinny, and beautiful often causes celebrities to go under the knife — but not all of them are happy with the results.
This week, Bella Hadid admitted she regretted having a nose job at 14 and wished she had “kept my grandparents’ nose” because she “would have grown in it.”
The model, whose father is Palestinian-Jordanian and mother is Dutch, told Vogue, “I was the ugly sister…that’s what people really said about me.”
Bella, 25, joins a group of other famous faces who wish they wouldn’t change their looks.
From bad boob jobs to face-lifts that went wrong, when a celebrity’s plastic surgery doesn’t go as well as it’s being reported around the world.
This led to last year’s The Sun’s Had Our Fill campaign, which led to lip filler ads targeting teens that were banned by the UK’s advertising watchdog.
But now as Bella reveals the pressure to conform to unrealistic beauty standards – we’re looking back at the celebrities who regret facial and body makeovers.
Katie Price
Queen of surgery Katie, 43, estimates she’s had 24 boob jobs, three face-lifts and one liposuction.
She traveled to Turkey for a complete overhaul of her body, including full-body liposuction, eye and lip lifts, liposuction under her chin, and fat injections into her buttocks.
Last year, she told The Sun, “Honestly, I went to hell and came back, it was just awful — ‘Oh my God, I look like a monster from a horror movie.'”
“I just thought, ‘That is, I’m going to die.’ “I was terrified of looking like a stranger…a fake doll.
“I woke up with holes and stitches all over my body. It looks like I have cat whiskers coming out of my nose and eyes.
“But I just want old Katie back!”
However, the former Page-3 model had another job this year and was photographed showing off her swollen breasts on vacation in Thailand with fiancé Carl Woods.
Fans claimed it was Katie’s biggest moron job to date, but the star said on Instagram, “It’s not the biggest job I’ve had, the biggest one I have is in a safe for a million pounds.”

Last year, Canadian model Linda, 56, claimed the fat-dissolving procedure left her “disfigured” due to a rare adverse reaction.
She told how CoolSculpting — a fat-reducing procedure — had the opposite effect on her — making her fat cells expand and leaving them “permanently disfigured,” destroying her livelihood and sending her into a downward spiral of depression.
Linda admitted to fans that she became reclusive after fellow models and models praised her for her courage to speak out.
Cindy Crawford said, “Linda – your strength and true essence are forever recognizable and creative! Bravo!”
Helena Christensen added, “It took tremendous courage and strength to write these words. I can honestly say I broke down in tears reading this.”
Courteney Cox
In 2017, Kourtney told how she regretted using fillers and Botox — and how she melted her injections that year.
The American actress, now 57, explained how her reliance on ice punches began as she got older.
“Well, eventually what happens is you go to a doctor who says, ‘You look great, but what might help is a little syringe here or a filler there,'” she said.
“So you go out and you don’t look so bad and you think, no one noticed — it’s a good thing.
“Then someone tells you about another doctor: This person is amazing. Hmm [did] This guy looks so normal.
“You meet them and they say, ‘You just have to do this.'”
“The next thing you know is you’re layered and layered. You have no idea because it’s incremental until you go, ‘Oh ***, that doesn’t look good.'”
Tara Read
American Pie actress Tara told how she lost vital roles after a botched job and liposuction on her stomach in the mid-2000s.
Tara, 46, had a stomach ripple from a body sculpting operation and a sagging breast after surgery in 2004.
She later said she asked the surgeon about B cups, but he gave her Cs, and told American mag Us Weekly, “My stomach has gotten the most crunchy and bloated.
“I had a hernia, this huge bump next to my belly button. As a result, I couldn’t wear a bikini. I lost a lot of work.”
Tara has since undergone corrective surgery and is regularly photographed with a diaphragm showing.
Heidi Montag
The Hills star had a dramatic transformation on the show in 2010 – after having 10 procedures including rhinoplasty and a brow lift.
Heidi, 35, boosted her breasts to F cups – but four years later she swapped them for smaller Cs.
I told people, “I couldn’t visualize their weight in my body.” They felt like bowling balls on my chest. I felt inadequate.
“Men were staring at me really awfully and they felt they had a right to because I have such big boobs.
“He told me they were falling to the bottom, and I got scared. It’s very dangerous.”
Victoria Beckham
Posh told Spice how she lamented Noughties’ “sticky” boob implants and removals.
The 47-year-old told Allure, “I think I might have bought them. I don’t have them anymore. They were removed.”
But Victoria – who denied having surgery at the time – told how she hopes fans will embrace their bodies.
She told British Vogue in 2017, “I should probably say, ‘Don’t mess with your chest.
All those years I denied it – stupid. A sign of insecurity. Just celebrate what you have.”
Mickey Rourke
Mickey first became famous in the ’80s for his roles in the films Diner and 9 Weeks.
But the 69-year-old actor said his completely different face was due to corrective surgeries after he was spoiled by boxing.
“Most of it was to fix my face mess with boxing, but I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together,” he told the Daily Mail.
He also described how cartilage was taken from his ear to try to rebuild his nose.
Molly May The Hague
Love Islander and influencer told Molly-Mae how the filler faded from her face.
The 22-year-old star started using lip fillers when she was 17 and has been implanted with chin fillers as well.
In 2020, she decided to painfully dissolve injections,
She said, “I feel like I’m definitely still going through the process of trying to make everything as natural as possible.
“I made many mistakes when I was younger. I honestly am still trying to correct them now.”
Leslie Ash
Guys Behave Badly Actress Leslie made headlines when she debuted in “The Trout” in 2002.
It was the second time Leslie, now 62, had the procedure but her lips were puckered when a silicone anesthetist used the silicone.
She had corrective surgery that improved her smile but did not completely remove the chemical.
This morning she told: “I thought it was a dermal filler that would degrade my body.
“But without my knowledge they used an artificial filler that mixed my muscles. These are the complications that can occur.”
Kylie Jenner
The reality star, 24, has built a business empire out of her plump pack.
But Kylie admitted that she regretted her lips at the age of 15 – and took it too far.
In 2018, some of her fillers were dissolved in an effort to look more natural.
She told Allure, “Well, I’ve made my lips really big at one point.” I got excited and felt like I needed to do a lot more.
“And then I had to go back and fix it, and it was a crazy process. Thank God I didn’t end up in Botched.”
Chloe Ferry
When Khloe debuted on Geordie Shore in 2015, she looked completely different.
The 26-year-old has since undergone Botox, a brow lift, two nose surgeries, a boob operation, and £50,000 to place a line under her stomach.
She says she regrets having the expensive stomach surgery.
Chloe said, “I just think in life that you learn from your mistakes and obviously I made a mistake and learned from it.”
“I didn’t need to have it,” she added, speaking of her abdominal surgery.
