Diamond Custom Homes has announced the completion of a 7,138-square-foot custom home at Quail West Golf and Country Club, overlooking the 11th green of Quail West Golf Course.
Located at 6253 Highcroft Drive, the West Indies-style property is a large open room floor plan designed by Architect Jon Kukk, AIA, of Kukk Architecture & Design, PA, with interior design by FreeStyle Interiors and landscape architecture by Christian Andrea ASLA, PLA President of Architectural Land Design, Inc. The house has two garages, one on each front side; One of them is used as an entrance for the private owner.
“It was originally intended as a model, sold in June 2021, approximately six months after construction began,” said Michael Diamond, President of Diamond Custom Homes. “Luxury but low-key elements throughout the property blend form and function to create the best of both worlds – privacy, but with spaces perfect for entertaining.”
A paved circular walkway leads to a central roundabout. Leading to the mahogany double door entrance is a paved corridor. A luxurious covered entrance opens directly into the foyer with views across the house to the outdoor living area.
The property features custom cabinetry and built-in EDGE components, vaulted ceilings and intricate ceiling designs, delicate trim work and numerous expansive windows, inviting abundant nature and adding even more open ambiance. A relaxed, modern, and earthy aesthetic that incorporates traditional elements into the walls, floors, and furnishings; Clean, modern lines and silhouettes, abundant texture, soft white walls and ceilings, and added contrast are provided by warm wood tones mixed with neutral painted works. The color palette, coordinated with brushed wood floors, includes a mixture of neutral tones, linen upholstery, oatmeal, warm grays, and rich chocolate browns for contrast. Custom cabinetry and built-in components feature simple, classic highlights and stains of matte faded oak with rich neutral painted cabinetry.
The lobby has a floor-to-ceiling vertical tongue and groove on one wall, and is painted a warm pewter color. The large room, which opens onto the kitchen, is distinguished by a beautiful open vaulted ceiling, a comfortable seating group at one end, a large kitchen and, in the middle, another intermediate seating group which opens onto both the large room and the kitchen, and also like a small bar for entertaining.
The property’s easy-to-use gourmet kitchen flows masterfully. Complete with a stove wall, large central island, bar, service area, storage room and pantry, the kitchen is aesthetically appealing and ideal for entertaining. The property prioritizes privacy with the entire left wing of the house dedicated to the powder bath, study, and spacious master suite, while the right wing hosts two bedrooms plus a VIP guest suite. In the left wing, a large built-in dresser adds additional storage space. Opposite the cabinet is the powder bath, which features green terrazzo tiles on the floor and walls, mid-tones, stained cabinets and a wall-mounted faucet. Near the powder bath is a private study with entrance to the master bedroom. The study features multiple windows, and the walls are covered in a grass cloth with a herringbone texture. The staircase ceiling is accentuated by a wide tongue and groove painted in a warm dark gray, and the large office faces glass entry doors and a media wall.
The master suite has a large seating area overlooking the outdoor living area. The master suite is accessed via a separate, covered private driveway and entrance from a two-car garage leads to the main vestibule. The spacious master bathroom is designed with double closets and dressing area, main gallery, double sinks and water tanks, large double entry shower, and free standing bathtub for maximum relaxation. The master bathroom is in neutral and calm tones and has double doors that open directly to the shower. The freestanding central bathtub features stone mosaic details on the floor and on the wall behind the tub. The shower features beautiful sash windows that can be seen from the entrance to the master bathroom. The master bathroom offers double vanities with waterfall tops, as well as double linen cabinets.
Across the house, each guest bedroom has the same neutral and serene vibe, each with its own distinct design style. One guest bedroom features a whitewashed cypress ceiling and the other includes a floor-to-ceiling painted cloth. All guest bedrooms have parquet floors and adjoining bathrooms.
The large large room provides the atmosphere of a grand hall, blending spaces into one large space. When the tall sliding doors, also located in the dining room adjacent to the outside kitchen, open, a comfortable seating area is centered over an outside fireplace.
The spacious outdoor living area offers nearly 800 square feet, accessible from nearly every room in the house, with a large, covered kitchen, dining area, glazed screens, and automatic shutters. A paved pool deck features a sun deck from the master suite, a custom rectangular pool on four sides, a square infinity-edge spa, a full outdoor kitchen, and a secluded conversation area with a fire pit.
