The Unbridled Eve Derby Gala, the official Kentucky Derby event, will return after COVID-19 on May 6 at the Grand Ballroom at the Galt House Hotel in downtown Louisville. and music, comedy, sports and influential national business leaders. Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits is the main sponsor and has a range of specialty cocktails on the menu. Unbridled Eve supports several charities in Louisville and nationally, including principal benefactor, Blessings in a Backpack. With more than 1,000 programs in 46 states and Washington, D.C., Blessings in a Backpack offers food on weekends to school-aged children who may be starving. Here’s a look at some of the names: The Sugarhill Gang – hip-hop trio Members of the Grammy Hall of Fame First rap song to hit the top 40 (“Rapper’s Delight”) JD Shelburne – country music artist One of the fastest rising artists in Kentucky Stars Linkin’ Bridge – A capella singing group from Louisville. America’s Got Talent finalists Melissa Joan Hart – character roles in the sitcoms “Clarissa Explains It All”, “Sabrina the Teenage Witch”, “Melissa and Joey” and “No Good Nick”. She has also appeared in the films “Drive Me Crazy”, “Nine Dead” and “God’s Not Dead 2”. Amanda Kloots – TV personality, dancer, and fitness trainer. Since 2021, she has co-hosted the daytime talk show “The Talk” Jimmy Wasser – a former IndyCar driver. Wasser won the 1996 CART IndyCar Championship with Chip Ganassi Racing and scored ten wins in the series. Wasser was the last American to win the CART Championship.
