1. Choosing solar panels at home – When it comes to making the environment healthy, using solar energies is one of the good ways to do that. Installing solar panels at home can be really beneficial as it requires little maintenance, reduces electricity bills, and helps reduce air pollution.
2. Correctly insulate the house and install underfloor heating – A properly insulated home has the ability to trap heat and is now useful for saving expenses. Underfloor heating is an ancient way of heating an apartment and does not cause any harm to the environment.
3. Use watercolor paints – Decorating and renovating a home is surely a challenging task. Painting and redecorating the walls is a major part. Instead of opting for oil paint, painting the walls with watercolor paints is one of the best ways to save the environment and is now the trend as well. Water-based paints also come in a variety of colors and are more aesthetically appealing.
4. Orienting your home to natural light and heat – For sustainable housing, guidance is critical. If you reside in a frigid northern hemisphere climate, additional south-facing windows can help you take advantage of the light. In winter, you can improve direct sunlight by building a tall wall with the windows facing south. This will help warm your home while also letting in natural light. You don’t want many windows facing west because it can cause glare and heat in the summer. If your windows face west, consider planting a tall tree to protect against some harsh sunlight.
