Longtime Dough Brands embrace the move to JuniperMarket because of their confidence in the platform and Bruce’s endorsement of values-based trading. “When I saw the announcement in January, not only was Dough acquired, but Vanessa was joining the team to advocate for women-owned businesses,” said Kalin Johnson Chandler of Effie’s Paper, a Dough brand confirmed and joined at JuniperMarket. I told my team, ‘This is a platform we have to be on.’ This is the confidence I have in Dough.”

To accelerate the transition of dough vendors to JuniperMarket, IMC is investing in both staff and technology resources. New employees, dedicated to attaching brands of dough, make the setup process easier and technology improvements speed up data transfers. Additionally, while more robust value-based filtering is under development, Bruce and her team are actively working to identify and screen women-owned businesses that currently live in IMC’s digital and physical markets.

“Juniper is committed to integrating customer service and technology to get value-based brands in front of the right buyers,” said Bill Furlong, Juniper CEO. “As task-based products become increasingly important to consumers, we are taking steps to provide our buyers and sellers with tools that facilitate communication and commerce.”

Setting up the Dough Brands is just one step in IMC’s plans to highlight women-owned brands. Continuing JuniperMarket’s successful promotion of such resources during Women’s History Month in March, and the introduction of new women-owned businesses in April, IMC will also present its first value-based product offerings in its upcoming physical markets. This summer, pop-up exhibitions featuring women-owned brands and their directors will be on display at temporary exhibitions at the IMC Atlanta Market (July 12-18) and the Las Vegas Market (July 24-28)
