Princess Cruises reveals celebrity godparents to Princess of Discovery

    Television stars and show hosts will unite as models to officially name Princess Cruises’ newest ship – the Discovery Princess.

    Costume designer Randy Fenoli, Chef Alex Guarnacelli, special effects designer, manufacturer Adam Savage, realtor and flapper Big Turner will gather together at the Marine Label Gala in the Port of Los Angeles on April 29, according to a press release.

    “Combining these experts and the four personalities of naming the Discovery Princess to launch our newest ship is an exciting moment for the Princess,” said John Padgett, President of Princess Cruises. “Our impressive Godfathers, who represent the best in food, style, wonder and exploration, are bringing their imaginative and inspiring talents together to celebrate this great occasion. We look forward to exploring what we can all do together in the future.”

    Randy Fenoli – Randy was born on a cattle ranch in southern Illinois, the youngest of seven children. Driven by his passion for design, Randy taught himself to sew at the age of nine. At the age of twenty, Randy obtained a license as a hairstylist and makeup artist. Randy’s passion for fashion and design led him to the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. From 2007 to 2012 Randy worked as a fashion director at Kleinfield Bridal Salon in New York where he consulted approximately 15,000 brides annually. Today as a star on TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress,” “Big Bliss,” “Randy Knows Best,” “Randy to the Rescue,” “Say Yes to the Dress Benelux,” and “Say Yes to the Dress America,” he is watched by millions. Viewers in about 150 countries. Randy just finished filming the 21st season of SYTTD. As the wedding dress industry’s most trusted source, Randy Fenoli’s mission is to “educate, elevate and empower” every bride to choose the most important dress in her life and for all women to achieve their personal beauty.

    Chef Alex Guarnacelli – A world-renowned chef, after attending La Varenne Culinary School in Burgundy, France, began her training on an international culinary journey in Paris and New York with some of the world’s most famous chefs including Guy Savoy and Daniel Boulud. In 2003, Guarnaschelli was given the opportunity to expand her repertoire to become Executive Chef at Butter, where she has since created her own eclectic green market-inspired American food menu. She debuted on the Food Network in 2006 and has since been a part of hundreds of episodes on the network, including being a judge on Chopped, co-host of The Kitchen, host of Supermarket Stakeout and star of Alex vs. America. She hosts the award-winning digital series, Fix Me a Plate and is the author of three cookbooks, including Cook With Me: 150 Recipes for the Home Cook (2020).

    Adam Savage Special effects designer, manufacturer, television personality, producer, and original host of the Emmy-nominated series Mythbusters, Savage has spent his life collecting skills that allow him to take what’s in his brain and make it real. He built everything from giant Buddha statues and futuristic weapons to fine art sculptures. His previous positions include showman, animator, graphic designer, carpenter, interior and theater designer, game designer, welder, and scenic painter. In 1993, Savage focused his career in the special effects industry, honing his skills through more than 100 television commercials and dozens of feature films, including Star Wars Episodes I and II, Galaxy Quest, and The Matrix. In 2003, he was chosen to produce and co-host MythBusters. Fourteen Years, 279 Episodes, 1,015 Myths, 2,950 Experiences, Eight Emmy Award Nominations and 83 Miles of Duct Tape Later, this edition of the series ended in March 2016. Since then, Savage has hosted MythBusters Jr. , as well as a brand new Savage Builds series, which premiered on the Science Channel in 2019. Today, Savage is the chief editor and content creator at Tested.com.
