    Miranda Mania

between seasons Mrs. MaiselBrosnahan and her production company have created an Audible Original podcast series based on an incredible true story that includes celebrities, deception, and a massive amount of phone flirting.

based on a Vanity Fair exposure, Miranda Mania It tells the alleged true events of a woman named Miranda Grosvenor, who was bewitching famous men over the phone.

“It’s been a labor of love over the past two years and it’s really exciting to finally be able to share and talk about it,” said Brosnahan, the lead producer and voice actress.

“We were so blown away, not only by this incredible story and how it was revealed, but also, you know, the article is an interesting exploration of the ’80s, fame, power, and men.”

While phone records are not available, interviews with the men involved made it possible to piece a story together. Celebrities like Bob Dylan, Robert De Niro, Quincy Jones, Billy Joel, Richard Gere, Eric Clapton and Sting were just some of those who were drawn to Miranda’s network.

“The podcast is a series of imaginary conversations between Miranda and some men. From Richard Perry to Billy Joel and so many more with whom she has had these beautiful and strange relationships,” Brosnahan said.

As the story goes, Miranda wasn’t the blonde model she said she was. This only came true when one day I suddenly stopped calling these famous men.

The majority of the series and the imagined conversations between Miranda and her men had to be recorded via Zoom. Morgan Spector (Paul Schrader) was at the Whisper Booth in New York, Harry Lloyd (Brian McNally) summoned from London, Milo Ventimiglia (Richard Perry) was in LA but Josh Groban (Billy Joel) managed to get into the same studio as Brosnahan.

Groban turns out to be the only one who communicates with the person he was playing. Brosnahan said, “Josh and Billy are friendly, so he just wanted to make sure he got his blessing before taking on the role, which was fun.

“We definitely sent it to all the men [featured] To give them a chance to listen before they drop. Brosnahan contemplates those who hear it and are moved by it Miranda Mania You have a positive listening experience.

“One of the things we all love about this story is that it is a victimless crime. This is a true character study of a woman who curated a fictional world for herself. She was charming, sharp, intelligent, brilliant and her intelligence could match in many ways with some of the most influential and powerful men of the time. So. Our goal was just to explore in a fun and with a sense of curiosity about this woman in this world,” Brosnahan said.

    a Wonderful Conclusion

Brosnahan went deep into production for the fifth season of The wonderful Mrs. Maisel at the moment. She shared her opinion on how the season has evolved so far. “If the first two episodes went through, we’d come out with great fanfare,” Brosnahan said. NEWSWEEK.

The wonderful Mrs. MaiselThe story of a 1950s housewife who aspires to become a stand-up comedian, has been on the air since 2017. Brosnahan admits that the production was a little sad this time around.

“It was dreamy. It’s bittersweet, knowing it’s our last season.” She said. “But it’s so much fun getting the band back together again and seeing what kind of trick characters are arriving this season.”

    Bonds between Brosnahan characters

Brosnahan liked that Miranda as a character kept pace with male artists and even seemed to outdo them in the ’80s. Meanwhile, Midge Maisel, the award-winning role of Brosnahan, is an exceptional comedian trying to make a name for herself in a male-dominated career in the 1950s.

“Oh, that’s interesting,” Brosnahan commented when looking at the comparisons between the two. “They feel so profoundly different to me because Midge is someone who makes no apologies for who she is. She’s very upfront, outspoken, and outspoken – sometimes to a fault. There’s not much mystery to Midge.”

“While, I think, Miranda, this whole woman is shrouded in mystery. She’s such a mystery.” Brosnahan added, “They feel totally opposed but are two women who have a very unique voice and aren’t afraid to use it.”

Miranda Mania It is an original audiobook written by Jane Silverman. The story is spread across eight episodes ranging from 20 to 30 minutes in length.

The entire podcast is now available exclusively on Audible in the US.
