Speakers for Archlite Summit 2022 announced

    ArchLIGHT Summit, the new lighting trade event and educational platform for the architecture, spec and design communities, has announced a schedule of speakers and events. The second edition, taking place September 15-16, 2022, will welcome attendees to review new technologies and networking and attend a wide range of continuing education modules from lighting and design/building thought leaders.     Over two days, attendees will have access to more than 25 seminars, discussions and events that deliver timely certified sessions on lighting solutions, trends and standards, but also address agency dynamics, diversity and inclusion, workplace evolution and alliance. There will also be plenty of networking and celebration.

    Access to the ArchLIGHT Summit auditorium is free, and a flat fee of $50 will give attendees access to all education and hospitality events. The full list of speakers and schedule is now available at https://archlightsummit.com/events /. Attendance registration will open later this month.

    Highlights of the event and speakers include:

    Landscape lighting expert Jan Muir will present “Deciphering the Language of Landscape Lighting” on Thursday, September 15, at 2 p.m. This session will be followed by a book signing entitled “The Art of Landscape Lighting: The Designer’s Companion.”

    Lauren Dandridge and Nick Albert collaborated for a session on “Putting Allies into Action” on Friday, September 16, at 1 p.m., both respected and award-winning business professionals.

    – This session complements other seminars on diversity and inclusion such as Alana Shepard on promoting a safe and inclusive environment for LGBT+ people (Friday 3:30pm) and Kevin Coleman on exposing bias and microaggression in the lighting industry and workplace (Friday) at 02 :00).

    Women in Lighting + Design will again begin ArchLIGHT Summit with a pre-event welcome party on the evening of Wednesday, September 14, and will host a breakfast workshop on the morning of Friday, September 16.

    – AAILA (American Association of Independent Lighting Agents) Sponsors and Leads a Session on the Evolution and Value of Lighting Agents Thursday, September 15th, at 10 a.m. AAILA also sponsors the opening night Happy Hour, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. that evening.

    – Shoshana Segal will host a session on Lighting Controls, Control Intent Narratives and Sequences of Operation, on Thursday, September 15 at 10 a.m.

    ARCHITECT Editor-in-Chief Paul Makovsky will host a panel of Texas-based architects at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, September 15, to talk about how projects in Texas are shaping design trends in the built environment.

    Two lighting designers from Essential Light, Jacob Gerber and Gabi Korac, will talk about using Revit designers in lighting design. This meeting will be held on Friday, September 16, at 1 pm

    Interactive sessions focused on the TM-30 translation and color tools will be repeated over the two days to enable more attendees to participate, including sessions specifically aimed at students.

    -New for 2022: Sonneman will host a relaxation station in their showroom, located adjacent to the seminar programming rooms on the fourth floor of the Trade Mart. All attendees are invited to enjoy refreshments and review our 8,500 square foot showroom.

    For the convenience of attendees and exhibitors, free lunch and snacks will be served on the show floor each day.

    The event schedule was drafted by the esteemed ArchLIGHT Sumimit Advisory Board, which includes professionals and educators in the disciplines of lighting, design and architecture. New board members Michael Cruz of Butterman Shark and Shahid Niazi Sadiq of Springfield Entanglement from AIA join veterans Craig Bernecker of the Institute of Lighting Education, Andrea Hartranft of Hartranft Lighting Design, Alyssa Humphreys Stewart of Texas Christian University and Archit Jain of Oculus Light Studio, Kelly Roberts of WALD Studio, Laura McDonald Stewart of Laura McDonald Stewart Enterprises and Plinth and Chintz.

    A limited number of exhibition space is still available for Archlite Summit 2022. Each brand exhibit is limited to one 10’10’ booth or a maximum of two 6’x10′ cabins, although there is a waiting list for additional orders. Cabin location assignments will take local and regional agency representation into account to improve comfort for attendees and exhibitors.     Dozens of existing architectural lighting resources in the Dallas Market Center and a strong local spec community have prompted the development of ArchLIGHT Summit, which will expand offerings to include non-residential brands in addition to those already in place spanning across residential and commercial markets.
