SCAD Celebrates Class of 2022 with Renowned Actor, Producer, and Director Amy PoehlerHost Daniel Thrasherand the honorees David Yurman Tricky Stewart

SCAD will celebrate Class of 2022 on June 3 and 4 with acclaimed actor, producer and director Amy Poehler, host Daniel Thrasher, and honoring David Yurman and Tricky Stewart.

The high-energy digital certification ceremony will be organized by an artist, actor, composer, YouTube sensation, and SCAD youth Daniel Thrasher (BFA, Performing Arts, 2015).
President Wallace awards degrees and offers two honorary degrees to artists with a vision David Yurman And Tricky Stewart. Yurmann is a jewelry designer and sculptor with an enduring love for design innovation. With his wife and co-founder, Sybil, Yurman created America’s number one luxury jewelry brand, David Yurman. Stewart is a Grammy Award-winning songwriter, producer, and composer. In a career spanning more than three decades, Stewart’s deep respect and appreciation for music has been the driving force in more than 50 million records sold.
Renowned Actor, Writer, Director, Producer and Author Amy Poehler He will deliver a graduation speech to more than 3,200 alumni during the virtual ceremony. Poehler made her documentary directorial debut with the critically acclaimed Amazon documentary Lucy and Desi, Produced by her CEO through production company Paper Kite Productions. The couple met at SCAD and have since led innovation and change in their creative careers. Bazou is Senior Director of User Experience at Charles Schwab, the multinational financial services firm. Freyermuth serves as Director of Product Strategy and Development at Flarespace, a subsidiary of Storyteller Overland and manufacturer of adventure truck parts that supports RV manufacturers and the DIY community. Their feedback will encourage recent graduates to “live freely, explore endlessly, and tell better stories.”
HoneyBees, SCAD’s outstanding performance ensemble, will also be featured along with a compilation video of the university’s distinguished 2022 alumni from both SCAD Savannah and Atlanta websites, and a special highlight reel for the class of 2022. The distinguished alumni represent a range of the university’s top-ranked degree programs including beauty and fragrance business, interactive design and game development, industrial design, interior design, performing arts, visual effects and user experience (UX) design .
The digital event will be streamed live via YouTube with a link to the live stream at scad.edu/commencement, giving home viewers a front row seat to the show.
After the morning ceremony, grade submission ceremonies will be held as personal events at savanna Georgia International Convention Center and Convention Center in Atlanta. savanna The graduates will participate in the ceremony dedicated to their school either Friday 3 Juneor Saturday 4th June. For friends and loved ones who are unable to attend in person, all degree-submission ceremonies will also be streamed live online at scad.edu/commencement.
