The ultimate workout experience in the NJ Central Regional School District

Beginning this summer, students of the New Jersey Central Regional School District will be offered an all-new fitness site, MoveStrong, focused on functional movements and strength-based activities for various age groups.
New Jersey’s Central Regional School District is one of many school districts across the United States that share MoveStrong’s vision of promoting healthy habits at an early age. Together, they came up with a setting that would give all students the opportunity to not only increase their balance, agility, endurance and coordination, but also have fun and build self-esteem.
To suit as many different ages and fitness levels as possible, the training site will be divided into four different areas, clearly separated by grass of different colours.
An area accessible to elementary school and special education students will form the first area, focusing on their abilities and needs.
The second area will be a dedicated stretching and conditioning area, featuring battle ropes, heavy bags, cardio stations and an elevated training station. All equipment focuses on the user gaining the right strength to increase movement and correct posture, learn new movements and improve posture.
Working on agility, speed and coordination is the core value of the third zone. The 150-yard sprint station and agility track, ladder and score drills, the 40-yard dash and sled push-ups allow for a fun workout while improving motor skills and body awareness.
The training site is rounded off by the MoveStrong Functional Fitness and Obstacle course area. Six fitness obstacles, along with a tire flip station plus push-up bars and parallel bars, ensure an enjoyable challenge for students of all ages.
To clearly define each area, and to use it correctly, grass of different colors and training graphics are applied to each area. In addition, all students can benefit from visual instructions via the mobile coach – after scanning a QR code on an instrument, they will be provided with a video explanation of the equipment and exercises to perform.
