Movie Night Night 4-Piece Modular Sectional

the details: Founded by four friends in 2019, Vancouver-based Sundays Company has already amassed an ardent following for its modern, livable furniture. For a young furniture company like this, Sundays has a large catalog including patio and dining tables, consoles, kids’ pieces, and rugs, but its most marketable offering is by far the Movie Night—a modular sofa and sectional line made in RH’s Cloud Sofa style. Like the Cloud, Movie Night is available in multiple sizes and configurations: the original version has plenty of space that makes even the smallest lounge offerings worthwhile, and the more compact Condo version fits better in small spaces. Movie Night isn’t quite as customizable as the Cloud Sofa, but families with kids and pets will appreciate the super comfy feather pillows and the fact that they’re impressively durable. It also happens to have a more accessible price point.

    order process

Price: How much does it cost? Are there payment plans available?

Prices vary depending on how many pieces you order, but Movie Night Sectional configurations start at $3,830 (the apartment version starts at $3,480). My four-piece clip is $5,180. Shipping, which includes white glove delivery, is free. Sundays offer a semi-payment plan option through Splitit, but they require that you authorize the full amount of the purchase on your credit card. You can also save $100 on your first order by subscribing to our newsletter.

What are the upholstery or customization options? Did you choose any of them?

Movie Night is available in six neutral colours, ranging from Brie to Dark Shadow, although not all configurations are currently available in every colour. If anyone is tired of picking out their color, or needs to replace some or all of their upholstery, Sundays offers covers that can be bought piece by piece.

What is the lead time for customization, manufacture and delivery?

Since the entire movie night line is modular and covered, real customization isn’t really necessary. As I write this, it appears that most colors and configurations are available and available for delivery in the US within three to five weeks.

    Sofa delivery and assembly

    How was the delivery process?

I got my couch about a week after the estimated delivery window closed, but I don’t blame Sundays for the delay. When my order was shipped, Sundays provided tracking information that let me know it arrived on time at my regional delivery service. I suppose, like many companies, delivery partner support and staff shortages due to the pandemic, and in the grand scheme of things, the extra week isn’t a long time to wait (especially for furniture and especially at the moment). Once the delivery was finally scheduled, the rest went quickly and smoothly.

How was the assembly process? How long did it take and how many people?

Since Sundays offers white glove delivery, I didn’t have to put together this clip or deal with any of the packaging. No packaging even entered my house! Two men showed up in a truck, and it took about 30 minutes to assemble everything inside. For something so large, the individual pieces are surprisingly lightweight, making it fairly easy to flip on their backs to attach the clips that keep the main pieces together. I was also pleasantly surprised that this sofa didn’t have any kind of chemical smell or new furniture smell, so I wasn’t worried about off-gassing.

What are the dimensions? How does it fit into your space? Would it be more suitable for a different type of home?
