University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center Appoints New Chief Operating Officer
ASHLAND — Sylvia Radziszewski, RRT, MBA, has been named chief operating officer of University Hospitals (UH) Samaritan Medical Center. Radziszewski succeeds Todd Harford, RN, BSN, MBA, who assumed the role of director of operations at UH Elyria Medical Center on December 1.
Along with the UH Samaritan executive leadership team, Radziszewski will help the medical center improve quality, patient experience and financial results. He will also spearhead programs to engage UH Samaritan employees and the Ashland community.
Radziszewski has consistently held leadership positions throughout his career. She most recently served as the Ohio Regional Vice President for Chenmed-Dedicated Medical Centers for Seniors in Miami, Florida. Prior to Chenmed, Radziszewski led numerous teams in Northeast Ohio as director of operations for Orthopedic One in Columbus; vice president of the Institute of Oncology at Summa Health System in Akron; and executive director of the Mercy Cancer Center in Lorain.
Radziszewski is a Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT, and has an MBA from Kent State University.
AEP Ohio Named ‘Customer Champion’, Best in the Midwest
GAHANNA — AEP Ohio, an American electric power company, has been named a “Customer Advocate” in a national study for the fourth year in a row.
Analysis firm Eswarm surveyed nearly 80,000 residential electricity customers from the 140 largest utilities in the United States. AEP Ohio received a customer engagement benchmark performance score of 725 on a 1,000-point scale, placing it number one among electric utilities in the Midwest region.
The results indicate that utilities like AEP Ohio have increased their focus on customers, communities, and the environment during the pandemic, which has increased customer engagement. AEP Ohio was named among the best in the industry in terms of engaging with customers in a meaningful and effective manner.
AEP Ohio was one of 45 utilities selected as a Customer Champion in the 2021 Cogent Syndicated Utility Trusted Brand & Customer Engagement: Residential study.
Firelands Electric Cooperative Sponsors Electrical Safety Contest
NEW LONDON: Firelands Electric Cooperative invites students in kindergarten through fifth grade to enter its 2022 Electrical Safety Contest. Children who live in a home that receives its power from the cooperative are eligible to participate.
To participate, students simply demonstrate their knowledge of electrical safety by completing the quiz available in the March issue of Ohio Cooperative Living magazine and on the Firelands Electric website (firelandsec.com/contests). Please sign and mail the questionnaire to: Electrical Safety Quiz, Firelands Electric Cooperative, PO Box 32, New London, OH 44851.
Entries can also be scanned and emailed to [email protected] (maximum file size 10MB) or completed online. Entries must be received by Firelands Electric Cooperative by 4 pm on March 21.
Students who answer at least six of the eight questions correctly will have their name entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of three restaurant gift cards.
In May, as part of National Electrical Safety Month, winners will be featured in the local pages of Ohio Cooperative Living magazine, as well as on the Firelands Electric Cooperative website and social media.
