As soon as I heard that there was an Anthropologie Home Outlet in Pittsburgh, I started asking some friends about the news. Those who know about the outlet store gave me the same look I gave my mom last week when she told me she went out to buy a DVD player, and they all told me they had already made several return trips. Those who don’t yet know about the store, stop and Google it right away to make sure I’m not lying to them.
So, I took I-279 north to Anthropology Home Outlet So I can accurately report on the topic of all the fuss.
If you are not familiar with Anthropologie…it is a store that sells clothes, home furnishings and now wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses. There are two regular anthropology stores in Pittsburgh – Bakery Square and Galleria Mall in Mount Lebanon. Anthropologie is owned by Urban Outfitters and sells a mix of apparel, accessories and homeware. While Urban Outfitters appeals to younger customers, Anthropologie has a following of all ages. There are blogs and Instagram accounts dedicated to sharing photos from Anthropologie.
The first Anthropologie Home Outlet Store is located in Pittsburgh
It’s kind of a big deal… Pittsburgh is home to the first-ever Anthropologie Home Outlet Store. There is an anthropology outlet in Georgia called Final Cut. Many bloggers have written (and made videos) blog posts about Final Cut. Anthropologie Home Outlet in Pittsburgh sells only household goods – furniture, rugs, bedding, curtains, and lighting.
Anthropologie Home Outlet Location: Mount Nebo Point
Anthropologie Home Outlet is located just north of downtown Pittsburgh, off I-279. Take I-279 to the Camp Horne Road exit. Mount Nebo Point is located east of I-279. The Anthropologie Home Outlet is located in the former Bat Catan store; It’s in the same arena as Target and Sam’s Club.

$$$ What about discounts?
The second question I get asked after telling someone about Anthropologie Home Outlet is “But how are the prices?”
There are two different discounts on items:
- Most of the furniture in the store appears to have been reduced by about 30% – 50% from the original price.
- Damaged items are an additional percentage of the discount based on the label on the price tag.
- The day I was in the store, everything was 30% off. 30% off after deducting damage.
What does port mean here? New and damaged items.
There were some damaged items in the store. I haven’t seen anything that can’t be fixed.
All sales are final – so be sure to re-check your items before checking out.
There were some sofas with missing feet or a bent leg. I’ve seen quite a few sofas where the upholstery was cut with a box cutter.
I was looking at a polished Regency Media console cabinet that was marked with a 50% off label discount. The only damage I could see was that one of the four door handles was missing.
