Jeff the Master was first shocked by the recruits’ lack of culinary skills and knowledge. Puns and wisdom in his confession are very ingenious. Jeff and Ann’s reactions to some recruits tasting less than excellent food are always a shout out. Recruiters’ reactions to Anne being chased by a red marker to paint their fingers red when they’re holding their knives incorrectly is like watching young children get into trouble at school. It’s also funny to see Mark, the strong star in the challenge, get so excited when he wins a cooking contest that he lifts Anne off her feet in a big bear hug. Anne isn’t known for being warm and fuzzy, so the hugs are especially fun.
