Since discovering fame on The Bachelor, Wood has built a fortune close to $10 million, largely from a series of smart property investments in central Melbourne and the regional Victoria.

The businessman, who drives a $150,000 Mercedes G-Wagon, has built a real estate portfolio that includes his $4 million home in Elsternwick and a $3.6 million vacation home in Mount Martha.

The solid brick Victorian residence in the coveted suburb of Elsternwick was purchased in September 2018 for $3.3 million and features a whopping nine rooms in total, including four double bedrooms and a “spacious living area with outdoor dining.”

An hour away in picturesque Martha Mountain, the Wood family has invested in the perfect vacation on 2,440 square meters of land.

The Bay Road hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from the shops of Mt Martha Village and the South Beach Yacht Club, making it a prized possession for any real estate portfolio.

The value of this property has now jumped to close to $600,000.

He has earned a Midas touch ever since. In 2017, Wood purchased a three-bedroom investment property in Broadford for $295,000 and has since watched it jump in value to nearly $500,000.

In 2018, while Wood acquired Elsternwick property, he also injected $531,000 into another investment property in Upwey.

This, like all of his other properties, continued to rise in value making Wood the undisputed financial king of the Bachelor franchise.
