A health and fitness expert has shown how different fitting room mirrors can dramatically change the shape of your body.

Brie Linehan, 25, from Queensland, posted a series of photos on Instagram showing how “mirror manipulation” is sometimes used in retail stores to make customers feel slimmer.

Many things can lead to a “bad body image” day. The first is to peek at yourself in the mirror. Suddenly a negative thought appears and everything descends from there.

“But often, what you see in the mirror does not reflect the reality of the situation.”

“Mirrors are all different! Private rooms. Some use mirror manipulation to trick customers into feeling “thinner” or taller when trying to get dressed.

In addition to the mirrors, the photos show how the lighting also varies in the different changing rooms to change the perception of the object.

“Other stores use softer lighting to hide lumps and bumps on our bodies,” Berry added.

“But there are also stores that use wide mirrors or harsh lighting that casts a shadow on your body and amplifies every feature.”

In another photo, I showed how jeans from different brands of the same size could fit completely differently on a woman’s body – as there is no standard size guide in Australia.

‘I can feel comfortable in one pair,’ said Bree, ‘and in the meantime, other pairs will leave my stomach swollen or you may refuse to squeeze! I found myself sizing up and down depending on the jeans! “

“Scaling up or down depending on the way your body changes over time is okay too.”

Bree gained a large following on social media by sharing “real” pictures of herself with the aim of changing the conversation surrounding body positivity.

“These posts are here every week to remind you not to compare yourself to the 1 percent of someone’s life that you see online,” she said.

“There’s nothing wrong with having a belly, cellulite, stretch marks, scars, hip depressions, or anything else.”
