Theory Design has gone beyond its current studio space and is moving into a more spacious studio and showroom space. They will be transferred to Miromar Design Center, 10800 Corscrore Road, Suite 398, Estero, Florida. Theory Design currently operates out of the Seagate Development Group offices on the corporate highway off Aliko Road, opposite the Gulf Coast Town Centre. Seagate is offering its own custom renovation services to retrofit two adjacent Miromar showrooms to provide more project workspace and a resource library for the expanding team of talented designers and support staff.
Theory Design, SWFL’s fastest growing design firm, will formally operate in the new space starting Monday, June 6 to meet the increasing demands for its extensive services. 2022 proved to be the busiest year for Theory Design since its inception in 2018. The company is currently working on new residential construction projects and luxury home remodel designs with over 40 new projects on the books.
Design Theory has now grown into a dynamic team of 15; Including 8 interior designers, 3 design assistants, a marketing manager, an operations manager, and an accountant. Theory Design is currently seeking a warehouse coordinator in the back room to manage inventory and assist with installation. Theory Design is also looking to hire a full-time CAD designer.
As part of the renovation, Theory Design is partnering with Adi Selfollari, owner of AWE – Architectural Wood Expressions located outside of Chicago. As you enter Theory Design’s renovated 6,200 square feet, you’ll be greeted with a custom-designed reception area by Adi’s team of craftsmen. The reception desk and logo feature wall will be a custom ebony slat panel. The Adi team also creates a custom leisure bar using exotic woods, honey-coated aniline eucalyptus, made in England, trimmed in ebony-stained wood and covered with brass elements.
The studio space will have enough generous workstations for a team of 20 people. There are two meeting rooms for group collaboration and client presentations, a Zoom room for remote meetings, and the expansive Designer Studio library contains 8 designer work tables, storage for fabrics, wallpaper, and finish samples. The space will also include intimate vignette display areas, featuring accessories and furnishings from Theory Design’s favorite lines. A small kitchen area, print room, back inventory, and storage area complement the studio layout.
Ruta Minajlazzi is the wise leader of Theory Design and Vice President of Design. “The Miromar Design Center studio space solution is a temporary move for us. Although the space will be well designed and generous, Theory Design has more ambitious plans to design and build our modern design studio with a combined showroom and retail space on an undisclosed location In Naples in “the not too distant future,” said Minaglazzi.
