As a counterpoint to traditional definitions of luxury, West Hollywood is looking at defining luxury in an entirely new way.

The West Hollywood Travel and Tourism Board, also known as Visit West Hollywood, today released a destination marketing campaign featuring notable personalities with connections to the world-famous city. The campaign features six successful and up-and-coming individuals, each representing the best of West Hollywood in dining, nightlife, design, music, fitness and shopping. As tourism begins to boom again in the city after the pandemic, the chain is vital to furthering the council’s mission to re-establish the reputation the city has always been known for: a vibrant, unique and vibrant neighborhood at the forefront of constant progress and change.

The campaign will also focus on exploring the “new luxury” that has emerged in the city. As a counterpoint to traditional definitions of luxury, West Hollywood is looking at defining luxury in an entirely new way. Upscale experiences such as exceptional hotels with unique and outstanding amenities and impeccable five-star service; Award-Winning Culinary Arts (Michelin + James Beard); Unique boutique shopping. Cutting-edge wellness and world-class entertainment collectively inspire and redefine what luxury truly is for visitors from all over the world.

Chef and Partner/Owner Raphael Francois (Tissy and Fanny), DJ and Poet Mia Moretti, Founder and Owner Marie Ta (Minute Los Angeles, Mass Beverly), General Manager Tommy Black of The Viper Room, Founder and Owner Kirk Myers of DOGPOUND, Interior Designer and Co-Founder JSN STUDIO’s Adair Curtis, all discussing their unique relationship with West Hollywood in the video campaign. They highlight their experiences in the city, known for its diversity and inclusion, and increasingly known for its new luxury allure. Each character reveals their favorite locations, and why the city is important to them as it relates to their fields and careers – and they are all totally successful.

Filming took place over three days on location in and around West Hollywood, including The West Hollywood EDITION, Tesse Restaurant, Fanny’s Restaurant at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, Boundary, DOGPOUND WeHo, Minotti Los Angeles Mass on Beverly, The Viper Room, and Sunset Marquis, Nightbird Studios, and more.

The production agency was Plus Plus, which was produced by Dave Horowitz and Trevor Baberni, and directed by Emmanuel Beckett.

“This campaign is an authentic and personal peek into why West Hollywood is the city it is,” said Jeff Morris, director of marketing for the West Hollywood Travel + Tourism Board. “Each of these creators has a true love and appreciation for the city, and this new content series will help our organization welcome the world back to the city in the heart of Los Angeles that has an unmistakable ‘ambience’.”

Visit West Hollywood A long-term vision is to market the city as a first-choice visitor destination for business and leisure travelers and create demand for the West Hollywood experience. Visit West Hollywood is the only official organization dedicated to creating visitor awareness and demand, developing and delivering comprehensive, destination-relevant information in a timely manner.
