Wayfair Professional invites nominations for the 4th Annual Dream Classroom Scholarship

Boston – (work wire) — Wayfair (NYSE:W), one of the world’s largest destinations for the home, announced today that its business program, Wayfair Professional, is accepting nominations for ideal teachers for the fourth annual Dream Classroom Giveaway. The competition was launched in conjunction with Teacher Appreciation Week 2022, and the competition begins today and continues until May 23, 2022, with nominations being accepted through the competition website. One teacher will be chosen to win a complete classroom change based on nominations from teachers, colleagues, administrators, students, families or anyone in the community who wants to learn about the amazing work of a local teacher.

“Wayfair Professional is proud to honor outstanding educators with our Dream Classroom Giveaway, and we are excited to launch this year’s competition during a week dedicated to the tireless work of educators across the country,” said Margaret Lawrence, Wayfair Professional, Vice President of Wayfair Professional.

Selected classroom furniture and products will be made available to the winning teacher from a curated list of items generously provided by leading education manufacturers, including:

“This year’s Dream Classroom Giveaway winner will collaborate with one of Wayfair’s professional design experts to select pieces perfectly suited to their teaching, storage, and workspace needs,” continued Lawrence. “With the generous support of leading education manufacturers, Wayfair Professional will provide brand new student desks and chairs, collaborative pieces, storage furniture, teacher desk and chair, and additional teacher-chosen furniture and decor.”

The following criteria will be carefully reviewed in order to determine this year’s Dream Classroom Giveaway winner:

    • The clear expression of a teacher’s impact on a particular student, class, or community.

    • A unique educational approach or style with supporting examples of how to engage and develop students.

    • Details about how the upgraded classroom affects student learning, participation, or positively affects the students who use it.

Wayfair Professional will notify the winner of the Dream Classroom Giveaway by June 13, 2022. The winning teacher’s class will be updated as soon as possible in the 2022-2023 school year and the winner will be publicly announced around the same time.
