With many of the world’s major entertainment and cultural events returning, along with family reunions and celebrations, consumers are booking travel in response to their pent-up demand, according to American Express Travel: World Travel Trends 2022 Report*. From the energetic vibrations of the music festival season to the cheers and applause at live sporting events and on Broadway, audiences seem to yearn for the powerful and intimate association of these moments.

In the latest version Report*, 56% of survey respondents said they stopped traveling to major entertainment events last year, but had plans to attend these types of events this year.
