Heating pigs with lower magic number

With so many playoff scenarios going, IceHogs caught the heat just in time. The question that remains is can they keep up during a busy end to the regular season? Last month, Rockford won 10 of their last 13 games, and today comes in a three-game winning streak. As of now, IceHogs’ magic number that will secure a place in the 2022 Calder Cup Playoffs is down to 8 points after Chicago’s victory over Texas on Friday night.

Soderblom prepare new records

In Sunday’s 5-3 win over the Tucson Roadrunners, goalkeeper Arvid Soderblom made a third-round run on the Roadrunners to earn his 18.y Season win. With the victory, Soderblom now holds the IceHogs record for most Novice wins in a season. With Soderblom’s second close of the season at Henderson last Tuesday, he was also linked with Alec Richards on most shutdowns by IceHogs net goalkeeper.
