Deadline: Using the final round 298, the Illinois State Redbird women’s golf team overcame a two-stroke deficit between rounds to finish in a two-way tie at the 2022 Redbird Spring Invitational Summit, with ISU winning the tiebreaker. Avalon Woodward Tied for fourth place with 148 (73-75) and Kiel Kos He tied for eighth place with 150 (74-76). kiera wolf – Playing as an individual – ended in a draw for 17th place with 153 (78-75) with Emma Roger (78-77) and Venesha Gunasilan (77-78) Each tied for nineteenth place with two 155 rounds. Yasmin Yein her last home tournament, she placed 45th with a score of 162 (84-78).
Redbeard’s MVC history: No other school in MVC has won as many titles–13–as the Redbirds in women’s golf, while the Birds’ also has 13 individual champions, more than double the second-highest total in conference history. ISu’s last win came during the 2013 season, with Katie Jean also earning her second straight honors in the championship. In a six-year period from 2008 to 2013, ISU won five titles, while also returning four individual medals during that time.
