The Roadrunners travel to Houston for the Easter Vacation Series with Rice

Saint Anthony – UTSA is looking to make it three USA Weekend Conference Series wins in a row, as the Roadrunners travel to Rice for the weekend series against the Owls.

UTSA (22-11, 7-5 C-USA) enters the weekend series after winning five of its last six games against conference enemies. The series will take place over the Easter holiday and will include an Easter match.

The Roadrunners are 9-1 in their last 10 matches with a 6-1 record over the ranked teams in the period. UTSA defeated No. 11 TCU, No. 23 Charlotte (3x) and No. 29 Old Dominion (2x) in their last 10 matches. UTSA No. 2 also defeated Stanford earlier in the year as the Roadrunners now hold the record 7-1 against seasonally ranked foes. UTSA continued its rise in the RPI, with Wednesday’s win over Sam Houston pushing the Roadrunners to 45 in the RPI.

The Owls (10-24, 3-9 C-USA) enter the weekend series as well after their midweek win over Sam Houston. Like UTSA, Rice visited Huntsville earlier in the week and took a 5-1 win to enter the weekend with momentum.

This will be the eleventh-ever meeting between the two Texans, with Rice having an all-time advantage over the Roadrunners who have a 26-13 record. The Owls have a 7-2-1 series record on UTSA, however, in their last three games, UTSA has been 2-0-1. Albums 17-7 in the home games against UTSA.
